Angela Missoni looking to launch clothing line for teen girls
55-year-old designer Angela Missoni is looking to follow in the footsteps of her fashion counterparts and team up with a high street store to launch a new line of clothes aimed at teenage girls. According to Angela, “I would like to do something with H&M because I think it is a very powerful way to reach younger girls now.” Other H&M collaborators include Matthew Williamson, Comme des Garcons and Viktor and Rolf.
Angela Missoni also has no problem with models and actresses designing their own clothing collections, as long as they’re passionate about fashion. Making mention of Sienna Miller’s Twenty8Twelve label, Angela said: “These girls do pick up knowledge by being around fashion, so it doesn’t bother me if Sienna does her own range - she has a genuine passion for clothes, so it’s not just about her using her name.”
Other celebrities to have designed their own clothing lines for stores include Kate Moss, Madonna and Lily Allen.
