Project Runway’s Chris March Seeks Payment from Beyonce Designer
During Lifetime’s Project Runway: All-Star Challenge, we learned about Chris March’s life away from the show. Since his stint on Season 4, the contestant has worked with a number of A-list musicians, companies and designers. Unfortunately, he hasn’t always been rewarded for his effort.
Despite being hired by Thierry Mugler to create costumes for Beyoncé‘s concert tour, the designer is still waiting for the checks to arrive. In a lawsuit filed July 23, March contends that nearly $45,000 worth of services have gone unpaid.
“Chris March’s lawsuit is not against Beyonce, but rather against Thierry Mugler and Tancrede Prinz, who owe Chris money for having designed and fitted Beyonce’s costumes,” March’s lawyer, Leslie H. Ben-Zvi, clarified. “Beyonce paid them, but they in turn have not paid Chris. Chris continues to be a fan and great admirer of Beyonce, who looks beautiful in everything she wears, especially Chris’ costumes.”
March placed fourth in both Season 4 and in the All-Star special.
