Nicole Richie with her baby museNicole Richie is jumping on the Kardashian sisters’ bandwagon, creating a credit-crunch friendly jewelery collection for Bebe.

The reality TV star - who recently gave birth to her second child, Sparrow James Midnight Madden, and has a 21-month-old daughter Harlow with partner Joel Madden - has managed to find time to produce an exclusive collection of House of Harlow 1960 jewels for the retail chain’s online store.

The jewelery - which comes at an affordable price, with items ranging from $38 - has a hippy vibe and is in a similar style to her fashion line, House of Harlow 1960. The 28-year-old socialite also teamed up with the retailer to create a $25 bracelet where a percentage of the sales will go to the Richie-Madden Children’s Foundation, which helps bring more opportunities to disadvantaged children around the world.

The jewelery line will be launched and sold on Bebe.com starting November 12.

Richie recently launched her own womenswear label Winter Kate - taking inspiration from daughter Harlow’s middle names - and spoke of her desire to make fashion accessible for everyone: “That was my philosophy when designing House of Harlow 1960, and it remains my philosophy for Winter Kate.”

Gucci's Mimma ViglezioEven fashion houses want to get in on the eco-friendly trend: Gucci has vowed to go green and help save the rainforest.

The giant fashion conglomerate, which owns brands including Balenciaga, Yves Saint Laurent and Alexander McQueen, has joined forces with the Rainforest Action Network and decided to stop using paper from Indonesian rainforests and plantations as well as avoiding the suppliers Asia Pulp and Paper.

Executive vice president of global communications Mimma Viglezio said, “Standing rainforests are not a luxury, they’re a necessity if the world wants to stop climate change. Our actions are lowering our own carbon footprint, but we hope that they will also raise awareness inside the fashion industry that it’s possible for our industry to make a difference for rainforests and for the climate.”

This change in company policy will now ensure all the paper used—from for printing documents to carrier bags—will not come from endangered forests.

Bosses at the Rainforest Action Network are thrilled with the fashion giant’s dedication to the cause and have praised them as a “industry leader” for their hard work and hope other companies will follow. Forest campaign director Lafcadio Cortesi said, “The Gucci Group’s actions and commitments confirm its place as an industry leader. This move sets a bar for others in fashion and retail and demonstrates the foresight our society needs for our children and grandchildren to have standing rainforests and a stable climate.”

Donatella Versace started modeling for her brother at 11

“When I was about 10 or 11, Gianni started to play with me being his model. He’d try clothes on me and ask, ‘What do you think?’ He was pushing me to do my hair lighter—to bleach it. So I was a fashion addict by the time I was 11 years old. I’d wear a miniskirt and patent-leather boots. I looked almost as I do now, the only difference being that I was 11. I was a very mature little girl because I was always with Gianni.”

Milla Jovovich's fashion label Jovovich-HawkMilla Jovovich is teaming up with American designer Tommy Hilfiger.

The model-and-actress—who has previously had her own fashion label, Jovovich-Hawk with catwalk beauty Carmen Hawk—is reportedly set to collaborate with the fashion house to create next season’s Tommy Hilfiger Breast Health International bag for charity.

Milla’s bag will reportedly launch next April. This year’s initiative was backed by supermodel Helena Christensen, who designed an oversized Momosa yellow leather tote bag for the campaign.

Fans of Jovovich can catch her in the sci-fi thriller, The Fourth Kind, which opens this Friday in theaters.

Angelina with her stylish daughters Shiloh and Zahara

Stylish mother of six Angelina Jolie knows how to dress her kids, too. Jolie was spotted taking her daughter Shiloh to The Gap in Santa Monica, where she splurged on adorable clothes from Stella McCartney’s line for the retail giant.

“She purchased two complete outfits right off the mannequins, head to toe, the shoes and everything. Then she bought a couple Junk Food t-shirts, one was a Superman emblem and a bunch of Gap watches for all of the kids. She probably spent close to $500,” a source revealed.

Five hundred dollars spent for 6 kids? That’s not bad at all! It’s nice to see that their wardrobes seem to be of the modest fare. I can’t wait until we see pictures in their adorable clothes!

Roberto Cavalli at a premiere

“All over the world people don’t treat me like a fashion designer; they treat me like a rock star… I can’t walk down 5th Avenue without being treated like a rock star. In fact, maybe it’s more… Many times I’ve walked down 5th Avenue with rock stars and nobody pays attention to them. It’s very strange.”

Kate Moss in her new collection for Topshop

Fashion icon Kate Moss loves going out wearing her pajamas.

The supermodel, who is regarded as one of the world’s most stylish women, says that she’s happy to go out in her nightwear as she likes to feel comfortable.

“I do like a pajamas. I wore a pair out as eveningwear in New York once, and there was a massive snowstorm. We couldn’t get a cab, so I had to walk home in them. It was freezing, but they did look good.”

Lindsay with designer Estrella ArchsThe Lindsay Lohan-Ungaro debacle continues to be making headlines; this time, reports are saying that the starlet wasn’t paid for her creative advisor position.

The 23-year-old actress worked on designs with the fashion house’s new head designer Estrella Archs for three weeks, but was given $147,000 worth of free clothes in place of payment.

A source revealed, “Ungaro is not paying her at all to be a consultant for them. Her team is working to get Lindsay some form of payment from the fashion house, but right now they will only give her free clothes. The deal is perfect for them - they have nothing to lose, even though the clothes were not a big hit.”

It has even been claimed she paid for her flight and hotel at Paris Fashion Week herself, when her range debuted there earlier this month.  The line, which she described as “a dream come true,” was slammed as “underwhelming” and “non-skilled” by fashion journalists.

But speaking about her clothes, Lindsay defiantly said, “Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I didn’t expect everyone to be completely loving the collection.”

Stella McCartney's line for Gap KidsApparently, muses tend to run in the family around the fashion industry. Take, for instance, Matthew Williamson and his inspirational mother.

For vegetarian designer Stella McCartney, it’s her four year-old son Miller!

“My eldest son is just starting to have a mind of his own. I was going to do pirates and he said: ‘Nah, don’t do pirates.’ It suddenly dawned on me that this wasn’t just about what parents want to put on their kids, but about what kids will choose themselves. I needed to make every piece [of clothing] one that my children wanted to wear.”

Who knows—perhaps we’ll be seeing Miller creating ranges in the future. Those McCartneys are an imaginative group, after all.

The 70-piece collection, which is priced from $14 to $128, hits select Gap stores on November 2nd.
