Nicki Minaj wants to look more "relatable." The "Starships" hitmaker is known for her colorful wig collection and eccentric outfits, but she has begun to tone down her appearance because she wants to be viewed as a "regular woman."
"Towards the end of last year I just wanted to have a more natural look, and that's what I was explaining to my team. I knew that I was about to start doing covers of magazines and I wanted a more relatable look. I knew that I was about to launch a clothing line and I want women to know that I'm just a regular woman and I'm not some weirded-out character all the time."
And after seeing the results of her make-under, Nicki, 30, couldn't be happier, and admits she has fallen in love with her new appearance. The American Idol judge added, "I made that conscious effort to tone it down and to try new things. And when I started seeing what my hair looked like, I just fell in love. I was just like, 'Oh my gosh where has this been all my life?' Because even my fans went crazy, I feel like the whole world went crazy. It felt like I took off this mask - it didn't feel like that to me - but to the world it's almost like, 'Oh now we see the real her.' It was weird."

+ What inspirational advice did Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour bestow at Teen Vogue's annual "Fashion University" event for teens? "Get fired."
+ Despite her over-the-top "plastic," Barbie-centric image, Nicki Minaj swears that she has never undergone plastic surgery on her face.
+ Karl Lagerfeld follows in the footsteps of Vivienne Westwood and Jean Paul Gaultier in his upcoming collaboration with Brazilian footwear brand Melissa. Lagerfeld's capsule collections - which will be made of recycled plastic, as all Melissa shoes are - will debut in March.
+ Damien Hirst has teamed up with the Olsen twins to create a limited collection of backpacks for their label The Row. A portion of the sale of each bag will be donated to UNICEF; however, there's no word on the price yet (although the twins' last backpacks sold for $35,000-$39,000).

Is that really you, Evangeline Lilly?
Having shied away from the spotlight since her notable role in Lost, the 33 year-old actress reemerged on the red carpet event for the New Zealand premiere of The Hobbit looking practically unrecognizable. Not only did she cut off her long locks, but she went blonde, too!
What do you think of Evangeline's new look?

+ Louis Vuitton's CEO of 22 years, Leo Carcelle, has stepped down, leaving Jordi Constans to take his place.
+ Kate Moss has revealed that she will soon be followed by a camera crew in order to create a tell-all documentary about her life. Having tied the knot and largely kept out of the tabloids lately, a documentary of her day-to-day life doesn't seem all that enticing...
+ January Jones was spotted with brunette locks while out with her son Xander. The natural blonde has been a redhead for a role in the past, but there's no word yet as to whether or not a similar cause prompted the color change.
+ Although she was spotted looking frighteningly normal at Sunday's American Music Awards, Kesha is back to her old ways, photographed in a zany pants suit and floral top with leopard-printed creepers at JFK airport in New York.
+ Just days before venturing on her Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 promotional tour, Ashley Greene colors her brunette locks to a striking red shade. Love it or leave it?

Lindsay Lohan hates her new hair color. The 26-year-old Liz & Dick actress - who recently dyed her locks bright red after completing filming for her new movie - revealed the eye-catching new auburn color did not turn out as she had hoped.
"It's actually the wrong color than it's supposed to be," she told E! News. The troubled starlet explained that the color should fade down to her natural hue. "It's the colou of my natural hair and it will get there."
The former Disney star has not been having a good week after being forced to cut her father Michael - whose girlfriend Kate Major is due to give birth to their baby boy in three months - out of her life. A furious Lindsay said she was "done" with him after he made public a call she made to him following an explosive row with her mother Dina in the early hours of Wednesday morning and no longer wants to speak to him after he betrayed her trust.
"I'm done with him. He doesn't know what it means to be a father. He doesn't want to be a dad," she said.
The daughter of rock legend Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, Frances Bean Cobain, was photographed at LAX sporting pink hair and a grunge look reminiscient of her late father.
The 20 year-old sometimes-model and artist looked effortlessly grunge-chic with a jean jacket (complete with what appears to sport shapes constructed from electrical tape) and a baggy t-shirt, paired with somewhat-sheer black pants and jelly sandals.
Despite her sharp resemblance to Kurt - physically and style-wise - Frances Bean has previously claimed that she strays from her parents' trademark clothing cues: "I don't like to look sloppy. I'm a girlie-girl. I prefer when [my mom is a] more classy starlet. I don't really like her hard-metal stuff, or when she doesn't brush her hair." Perhaps she's had a slight change of heart?
Frances Bean was recently almost ordered in to testify in a lawsuit against her estranged mother, managing to avoid being deposed on the grounds that she was not in contact with her mother at the time.

+ Elsewhere, Miley Cyrus was snapped up wearing a black crop top with a pair of pants that could easily have been her pajamas; however, she strangely seems to be pulling the look off. Perhaps this is the magical work of her new, daring 'do?
