Sir Paul McCartney was in the front row as daughter Stella showcased her latest collection at Paris Fashion Week.
The Beatles legend and his girlfriend Nancy Shevell proudly looked on as the designer wowed the audience with her simple but elegant designs from her Fall/Winter 2010 range in the French capital. The show was dedicated to the late Alexander McQueen, and Stella worked all the season’s hottest trends - blacks, greys and block neon colors - into wearable designs.

Anna Wintour Promises Curvy Models
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Health & Beauty, Models, News
Always one to be on top of the latest fashion movements, Anna Wintour has (finally) vowed to use curvier models in Vogue.
The legendary magazine editor has promised to include larger beauties in upcoming issues of the US fashion bible after the success of their January 2010 cover shot image of 25-year-old model Lara Stone, which she hopes will encourage other publishers to avoid skeletal models.
“Vogue has always been supportive of healthy models and will continue to be so in the future. And I hope that Lara’s success as a model, even though her image does not fit into the existing norm, will inspire the industry to rethink its current preferences.”
The busty beauty - who has a UK size 8 figure - recently admitted she wishes she wasn’t the only curvaceous model: “I’m different because I am fat. It would be nice if I wasn’t the only person with t*ts and an a**e. If I could have the discipline to be super-skinny I would be. I think of dieting, then I eat pizza. I’m a woman, and every woman wants to be thinner - unfortunately.”
Items Du Jour: Taylor Swift, Martin Scorsese, and L’Oreal Hires Diane Kruger

- L’Oreal hires model-turned-actress Diane Kruger as their worldwide spokesperson (not that it was a surprise so much as it was a matter of which makeup company was going to demand a deal with her).
- Kelly Osbourne’s fiancé Luke Worrell experiments with androgyny. He looks just as gorgeous as a woman, too! How unfair is that?
- Taylor Swift rocks some major Prada Swarovski in a high fashion shoot for T: The New York Times Style Magazine; it’s nice to see her break out of her natural style and put those model looks of hers to good use.
- Epic collaborations keep coming! While Dior may be nabbing David Lynch, Karl Lagerfeld is never one to be outdone, recruiting Martin Scorsese to direct a Chanel commercial short film. What we’re all really wondering is whether or not Leonardo DiCaprio will be making an appearance…
- Lady Gaga, much like her appearance on Jay Leno’s show, toned down her outfit for Barbara Walters. Citing her inspiration as her mother’s classic Chanel suit, Gaga left her body art installations, masks, and heavy makeup at home. Lately, the once pantsless revolution leader has been embracing what she seemed to detest—is this a new age for the singer?
Items Du Jour: Meiselpic, David Lynch, Marc and Lorenzo Buy a House

- Marc Jacobs and Lorenzo Martone finally purchased a townhouse in New York’s West Village for a cool $10.4 million. To think that this was the house that the couple claimed they counting their pennies for!
- A new type of plastic surgery involves liposuctioning fat from your butt and injecting it into your breasts to increase their size. Here I thought Fight Club‘s idea of re-using fat for soap was bad.
- Twitter inspires fashion photographer Steven Meisel, prompting him to get a pregnant Gisele Bundchen (as well as Lara Stone, Sessilee Lopez, Naomi Campbell, and others) taking pictures of herself via Meiselpic—clever, right?—for the December cover of Vogue Italia.
- In interesting collaboration news, John Galliano recruits David Lynch (Mulholland Drive, Eraserhead) to direct his next installment of Dior short films. Oscar-winning actress Marion Cotillard will star in the short features.
- Proenza Schouler finally has an e-commerce site, although it appears as if they’re still figuring out what to put on there—so far, there are four items listed.

Topshop Asks You to Help Photographer Corinne Day Battle Cancer
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Health & Beauty, Models, News

Much like Donatella Versace, British retail chain Topshop is feeling charitable lately, calling upon its shoppers to help Corinne Day battle cancer. The famed photographer has captured some of Kate Moss’s most iconic images, including her infamous Vogue photo shoot in the ‘90s.
Teaming up with Premier Model Management, the two forces are attempting to raise the $164,000 needed for Day’s treatment. Apparently, all they’re asking of you is a text (“moss”) to 60777—the message costs roughly $1.60, with 40% of each one sent going to the charity.
